Savoury Sattu Drink | Sattu ka Ghol

sattu drink | sattu ka gholSattu Drink is made from the Sattu flour which is power-packed & highly nutritious. It is quite popular in summer months, although it can be consumed all-year round but perfect for summers due to its  cooling properties. You can prepare this drink as savoury or sweet according to your preference. Today I’ll share the savoury preparation with you all. It is a great snack options as well in between meals or even as a breakfast option.

After posting the recipe of Sattu couple of days back, I’m back with a quick drink to prepare with it. I make Sattu paratha quite often but what I make regularly is Sattu drink (Savoury), especially when I am hard-pressed on time as it takes 2-3 mins from start to finish. Lot of people ignore themselves while taking care of their family or have such a busy schedule or even kids who have no time for breakfast, this is the perfect option. What’s best about the drink is that it tastes delicious so once you have it and you see how easy it is to make it, you’ll have it more often. And, it only requires a handful of ingredients and 2 minutes.

The taste would largely depend on the Sattu flour, if it is not authentic, you might not want to have it again. I am from Bihar and the ones available at other places are quite different from the ones we get back home. Sattu has originated from Bihar and has been widely accepted due to its benefits and easy availability. Before buying make sure to read the label that it is made from Bengal Gram or else you can make Sattu flour at home too. It is extremely easy to make it and once you have it handy, making this sattu drink is a breeze. This is a no-cook recipe and is absolutely kid-friendly, bachelor-friendly or anyone who just want to have a refreshing drink in no time.
