I’m Imbesat. I call myself ‘Accidental Culinarian’, for most part of my life, food did not take forefront. However, Ammi had magic in her hands, she’s known for her culinary skills, and effortlessly churned out perfection in the form of food.
This was my foundation of cooking and enjoying good food. Initially, I learned cooking from Ammi’s recipes which I had written in a diary before my wedding. It was my way of securing uncharted territories. However, I fell in love!! With food, with cooking, with trying out different cuisine, new recipes. And, with it, I discovered my love for baking.
I love cooking for my family and enjoy when my preparations are relished. I started Khanpaan in the year 2014, the year I got married but professional commitments took a large pie of my time. However, I always kept coming back to this space and share new recipes. Now, being a mum to a toddler, I have a critic at home and only the best recipes will make it here 🙂
Khanpaan is my treasure trove, where I intend to document all that I have acquired over the years. You’ll find here tried and tested recipes, heirloom recipes, and my experiments in the kitchen. Being a self-taught baker and been baking for more than half of a decade, you’ll also find here no-fail baking recipes, tips, and tricks that I have learn along the way.
